DOWNLOAD THE GOSPEL OF MARY MAGDALENE at the End of this writing.
The Gospel of Mary could have very easily been lost to history. A Few of its fragile pages survived while others were damaged, with large portions of the manuscript destroyed and forever missing. What remains offers a tantalizing glimpse into teachings attributed to Yeshua that nearly vanished with the crumbling text itself. Had these ancient pages not survived, the world might never have known about one of early Christianity's most mysterious and debated writings.
One of the most fascinating mysteries of early Christianity has been the Gospel of Mary.
Unlike the four canonical Gospels, which are Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, this ancient writing presents Mary Magdalene not simply as a follower of Yeshua, but as one of His closest disciples, someone entrusted with profound spiritual insight after His resurrection.
Only fragments of the Gospel of Mary survive today. Yet even in its incomplete form, the text offers a compelling glimpse into how some early Christian communities understood Yeshua's teachings.
The story begins after Yeshua has departed from His disciples. Fear fills the room. The disciples are uncertain about the future and worry about persecution. Instead of Peter stepping forward, it is Mary who comforts the others.
She reminds them that Yeshua had prepared them for this moment and encourages them not to lose heart.
Then Peter turns to Mary with an unexpected request.
"Sister, we know that the Savior loved you more than the other women. Tell us the words He spoke to you that you remember, the things we have not heard."
Mary agrees.
she begins describing a private vision in which she speaks directly with the risen Christ.
One of the central lessons concerns the nature of spiritual perception.
Mary asks how a person can truly see the divine.
Yeshua explains that true vision is not merely physical sight.
Instead, people perceive spiritual truth through the mind illuminated by the spirit.
This teaching suggests that divine understanding comes through inner transformation rather than external salvation.
The vision continues with the soul's journey after leaving the material world.
As the soul ascends, it encounters various powers that attempt to keep it bound.
Each represents a different attachment, which would prevent spiritual freedom.
Some symbolize ignorance.
Others symbolize desire.
Still others symbolize fear, anger, or attachment to the material world.
Rather than battling these powers with force, the soul overcomes them, through knowledge of its true identity.
The soul declares that it no longer belongs to the realm of illusion.
It has awakened.
It remembers where it came from.
It recognizes its divine origin.
Only then can it continue its ascent toward peace.
This idea reflects a theme found throughout several early Christian writings.
Salvation is portrayed not as escaping punishment, but as awakening to the truth already planted within every person.
When Mary finishes sharing her vision, the atmosphere changes.
Not everyone accepts her testimony.
Andrew expresses doubt.
He says these teachings do not sound like anything Yeshua would have spoken.
Peter goes even further.
He questions whether Yeshua would really have entrusted such important revelations, to a woman, instead of the male disciples.
at this point another disciple, Levi, speaks in Mary's defense.
He rebukes Peter.
"If the Savior made her worthy, who are you to reject her?"
Levi reminds the disciples that Yeshua knew each person's heart better than anyone else.
If Yeshua chose Mary, then they should accept His judgment rather than argue among themselves.
The surviving manuscript ends shortly afterward, leaving readers with unanswered questions.
But its message remains remarkably consistent.
Inner transformation is what matters for your ascension.
Spiritual understanding or Gnosis is available to all those willing to seek it within.
Fear should never overcome you if you have true inner knowing.
And true leadership is measured by wisdom rather than position.
The Gospel of Mary was not included in the New Testament.
The earliest surviving copy was discovered in a fifth-century Coptic manuscript found in Egypt in the late nineteenth century.
Because large portions of the beginning and middle are missing, historians cannot reconstruct the entire work with certainty.
Alongside the Gospel of Mary, several other ancient Gnostic writings describe teachings that Yeshua shared privately with His disciples.
The Gospel of Thomas is a collection of sayings attributed to Yeshua.
Rather than focusing on miracles or crucifixion, it emphasizes self-knowledge and the search for wisdom.
One famous saying declares:
"The Kingdom is inside you and outside you."
The Gospel of Mary invites readers into reflection.
Its surviving pages may be incomplete.
Its origins remain debated.
Yet its vision of courage, compassion, and inner awakening has ensured, that it remains one of the most intriguing texts, to emerge from the earliest centuries of Christianity.
Perhaps its greatest lesson is the one Mary herself demonstrates.
When others are afraid, offer hope.
When others argue, seek understanding.
When others doubt, remain faithful to the truth you have sincerely encountered.
and above all, continue the search for wisdom with humility, remembering that the journey toward the Infinite Father is not merely about possessing knowledge, but allowing that knowledge to transform the heart.
