Everything Feels Like It's Cracking Open Right Now Because It's Supposed to.

You have felt it. Maybe at 2 a.m., scrolling past another headline that contradicts the one from last week. Maybe in the tightness in your chest when you open an app you didn't mean to open. Maybe in the strange, floating sense that the stories you were handed about how the world works — about money, about safety, about who is in charge — are thinning out, like fabric worn down to its threads.

This is your awakening. This is disclosure. And it has been described, in almost identical language, by people living two thousand years apart on different continents, none of whom could have read each other's words.

In the Coptic texts recovered from the desert at Nag Hammadi in Egypt, there is a scripture called The Hypostasis of the Archons, literally meaning, The Reality of the Rulers. It names something most of us have only felt: that this world is governed not by the divine source of all things, but by lesser powers, rulers who built a prison and called it reality.

These are the archons. They are actual entities, interposed between you and your origin, running the material world like a farm. And the crop they harvest is you. Specifically, the dense, heavy energy your body produces when you are afraid, anxious, enraged, or endlessly craving something you can't name. Many call it loosh. Every panic-inducing headline, every doomscroll, every argument that leaves you shaking — these are not accidents of a chaotic age. They are feeding mechanisms.

The Rulers have no hold on the root, their power is not absolute — and never was.

"Do you think these rulers have any power over you? None of them can prevail against the root of truth; for on its account he appeared in the final ages; and these authorities will be restrained. And these authorities cannot defile you and that generation; for your abode is in incorruptibility, where the virgin spirit dwells, who is superior to the authorities of chaos and to their universe."

~ The Hypostasis of the Archons.

Read that again, slowly, as if it were written to you personally — because it was. Your abode, your actual home, is not in the territory the rulers administer. There is a spirit in you — the Gnostic texts call it the divine spark, a fragment of the original light that got buried under matter, under noise, under fear — and that spark was never, not for one second, under archonic jurisdiction. It cannot be taxed, farmed, or frightened. It can only be forgotten. And forgetting is the entire strategy.

Think about your actual everyday life. The alarm goes off. The inbox already full. The argument you're still replaying from yesterday. The feed that tells you the world is ending in six different ways before you've had coffee. None of this is neutral background noise. It is a continuous, low-grade summoning of fear — and fear, in this very old cosmology, is food for the Archons. Every notification engineered to spike your anxiety, every outrage cycle that keeps you clenched and reactive, every ad that manufactures a craving you didn't have five minutes ago — these are the modern instruments of the same ancient harvest. The farm got a user interface. The rulers didn't disappear. They optimized.

But the text says something else: these authorities will be restrained. Not might be. Will be. The passage speaks of a moment — "the final ages" — when the truth appears within a human form and the restraint of the rulers begins in earnest. Something about our moment rhymes with that promise.

"Until the moment, when the true man, within a modeled form, reveals the existence of the spirit of truth, which the father has sent. Then they will cast off blind thought, and they will trample under foot, death, which is of the authorities, and they will ascend into the limitless light."

~ The Hypostasis of the Archons.

The "true man within a modeled form" is not a distant savior arriving on a cloud. It is what happens the moment a human being... you, specifically, in your actual body, on your actual commute — stops living entirely inside the archonic script and remembers the spirit of truth already seated inside their own chest. Blind thought is the technical term here for the accepted story, the unexamined noise you absorbed as reality. Casting it off is not a one-time event. It's a practice. It's what you're doing right now, reading this, letting the question in...

Long before Nag Hammadi, and far to the east, the Sanskrit sages who composed the Svetasvatara Upanishad were describing the identical architecture under a different name: Maya, the illusion-generating power.

"Know then that Nature (Prakriti) is illusion (Maya), and that the Great Lord (Maheshvara) is the maker of illusion. The entire universe is permeated by beings who are parts of Him. When the mortal unmasks this illusion through true wisdom, freedom from the snare of worldly fetters is instantly attained."

~ Svetasvatara Upanishad.

Notice the word: unmasks. Three thousand years before anyone coined the phrase "the masks are coming off," an Upanishadic sage used exactly that image, a veil pulled from a face, revealing what was underneath all along. The Vedic seers were not describing a different problem than the Gnostic text. They were describing the same prison from the inside.

Maya is not "the physical world is fake." Maya is: the stories layered over the world are not the world, and you have been trained to mistake the stories for reality. The archons' great trick and Maya's great trick are the same trick, performed by the same hand, on the same species.

And the escape clause is identical, too: not years of struggle, but instant recognition. "Freedom… is instantly attained." The moment you actually see the snare as a snare, you are, in that instant, no longer only caught in it. This is why the sense of fast unraveling you feel right now — narratives crumbling in weeks that used to hold for decades — is not a glitch. It is what unmasking feels like when enough people do it at once.

"Perishable is matter; immortal and imperishable is the Lord who rules over both the perishable and the soul. By meditating on Him, by communing with Him, and by becoming one with Him, there is in the end cessation from all cosmic illusion."

Svetasvatara Upanishad.

Matter — the body, the economy, the news cycle, the empire of the archons — is perishable. It was always going to end. What's imperishable is the thing the Gnostics call the spark and the Upanishads call the Self: the part of you that has been quietly, patiently immortal the entire time you were worried about your inbox.

The Hermetic teachings, preserved in the Greek Corpus Hermeticum and echoed in the esoteric Egyptian tradition of the Emerald Tablets, describe the actual texture of this unmasking — what it feels like from inside the nervous system when the veil lifts.

"We are not cast down, my child; by the mercy of God the torment of ignorance has departed, and knowledge of God has arrived. Upon the arrival of Truth, falsehood fled away. Look, the fullness of Good has come, and with its advent the powers of darkness and the twelve tormentors are driven out."

~ Corpus Hermeticum.

The "twelve tormentors" in this tractate are named elsewhere in the text as things like ignorance, grief, intemperance, lust, injustice, deceit, envy — the exact emotional weather that keeps the archons feeding system supplied. This passage insists these tormentors do not have to be defeated by force. They simply cannot survive in the same room as truth. Falsehood doesn't lose a fight. It flees, the instant light enters, the way shadow has no independent existence once a lamp is lit.

This is why rage at the archons is not the way through. You don't out-shout a shadow. You illuminate the room.

"No longer do I envision things with the sight of my bodily eyes, but by an intellectual energy granted through the powers. I am in heaven, in earth, in water, in air; I am in animals, in plants; I am in the womb, before the womb, after the womb, everywhere."

~ Corpus Hermeticum.

This is what remembering the spark actually feels like once it stops being a concept and becomes an experience: the collapse of the boundary that made you feel small, local, and separate — exactly the boundary the archonic farm depends on to keep you isolated, competing, afraid. The Emerald Tablets describe the same liberation in blunter, more physical language:

"Cast off thy bondage, O man, burst from the darkness the shackles that bind thee. Cast off the veil of the night and fly toward the day. Know that the soul that is free from the body is free from the illusion of life."

~ The Emerald Tablets of Thoth — Tablet 3.

"Cast off thy bondage" is not a metaphor, for self-improvement. It is a direct instruction. And notice it is imperative — a command, not a suggestion, not a someday. The text that precedes it tells you why the bondage was ever possible:

"Darkness and light are both of one nature, different only in seeming, for each arose from the source of all. Darkness is disorder. Light is Order. Darkness transmuted is light of the Light. This, my children, your purpose in being: transmuting of darkness to light."

~ The Emerald Tablets of Thoth — Tablet 3.

Darkness is disorder — chaos, confusion, the deliberately manufactured noise that keeps you reactive instead of rooted. But darkness is not evil in some separate, cosmic-villain sense. It is unfinished light. It is raw material. Your purpose, this text says plainly, is the transmuting of it. Every time you take a flash of fear and instead of spiraling with it, you breathe, witness it, and let it pass without feeding it — you have just performed the sacred act this tablet describes. You turned disorder into order. You starved the farm by one small, private meal.

Here is where the ancient becomes immediately usable.

The archonic system does not need you to believe in Archons. It only needs you distracted, afraid, and craving. So the practice of unmasking has almost nothing to do with belief and everything to do with attention.

When you feel the phone pulling your hand toward it with no real reason — that pull is the veil tightening. Pause before you unlock it. Ask, silently: what am I about to feed, and what is it feeding in me? This single second of noticing is, in Hermetic terms, light entering the room where a tormentor was about to work undisturbed.

When the news or a headline spikes a hot flash of outrage or dread, notice that the spike itself is the product being harvested. You don't need to stop caring about the world. You need to stop handing over your nervous system as raw fuel every time an algorithm asks you to. Feel the fear fully, without suppressing it, then let it move through rather than lodge. That is unmasking Maya in real time — seeing the emotional hook as a hook, not as reality.

When loneliness hits in a quiet apartment with three glowing screens and zero felt connection, remember: the Corpus Hermeticum says the awakened person finds themselves "in heaven, in earth, in water, in air… in the womb, before the womb, after the womb, everywhere." Loneliness is the archonic lie that you are a sealed, separate unit. The spark in you was never sealed. A single minute of silence, hand on your own chest, breathing, remembering you are not only this tired body in this one room, can do more than another hour of scrolling for connection that was never going to arrive that way.

Zoom out, and you'll see the identical pattern playing out at civilizational scale. Trust in institutions is dissolving fast. Algorithms sort us into tribes that cannot hear each other. Old authorities — political, financial, religious — are being shown, publicly and repeatedly, to be wearing masks.

This can feel like the end of something stable. It is better understood as a mass, uncoordinated unmasking — millions of individual moments of "wait, that story doesn't hold" happening at once, visible now because information moves at the speed of light, instead of the speed of a scroll carried by hand.

The ancient texts predicted exactly this texture of ending: not a quiet fade, but a "final age" in which the spirit of truth is revealed and "blind thought" is cast off publicly, collectively, almost all at once. You are not watching the world fall apart. You are watching it wake up, badly, messily, the way anyone wakes up when the room is bright and they were asleep a long time.

Your task is not to fix the archons' system from inside its own terms, such as outrage, tribal certainty, despair dressed as realism. Your task, the only one these texts agree on, is to stop supplying it. Every time you choose stillness, clarity, presence, and remember your divinity, you quietly, personally restrain the rulers the Nag Hammadi text promised would be restrained. Not someday. In your actual body, today.

You were never the small, frightened thing the illusion needed you to believe you were. You are the spark that remembers itself. The masks are coming off because enough of us are finally looking.

I Love you so much. Allow your remembrance.

Thank you for Watching.
